Part of Maarintie will be closed to vehicle traffic in October
Jokeri Light Rail will be built near the properties on Maarintie and at the intersection of Konemiehentie and Tietotie. As of June 2019, preparation work such as stabilization, and other works related to Jokeri Light Rail has been carried out on Maarintie.

In the case of Tietotie and Tekniikantie, drivers should prepare for longer commute times, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours. The walking and cycling routes will remain on Maarintie throughout the construction, but the routes on the east side of the street will vary according to the work involved
Konemiehentie was be closed to vehicles in mid-August. Part of the Konemiehentie car park was converted into a construction site and parking spaces was removed. A temporary junction was built from Maarintie, to access Konemiehentie parking lot. At Konemiehentie, the pedestrian and cycling routes will remain in use during construction. As work progresses, the pedestrian and cycling routes will run on either side of Konemiehentie, depending on the stages of construction.
